Every journey we craft is confirmed with the properties, naturalists, and safari operators behind it, which is why a portion of the cost is secured upfront. What follows is how that works, and what to expect if a trip needs to change.
01Booking amount
To hold your journey, we ask for 65% of the total trip cost at the time of confirmation.
Travelling from within India or outside India
Once your itinerary is finalised, we'll send a secure payment link to settle the advance — no need to chase bank details or account numbers on either end.
Paying via the payment link carries an additional gateway fee — 3% for Indian travellers, 5% for foreign travellers.
02Balance payment
The remaining amount is settled directly at your stay, or on departure, by cash or card (Visa and Mastercard accepted). Anything outside your confirmed itinerary — extras ordered along the way — is payable directly by you before you leave.
03Trip cancellations
This covers accommodation, meals, sightseeing, and transfers. Safari cancellations follow a separate schedule below, since permits work differently.
Individual travellers
| Notice before arrival | Refund |
|---|---|
| 15 days or more | Full refund |
| 8–14 days | 50% refund |
| Under 7 days | No refund |
Group travel
| Notice before arrival | Refund |
|---|---|
| 30 days or more | Full refund |
| 15–20 days | 50% refund |
| Under 14 days | No refund |
Refunds are calculated on the total trip cost, not the advance paid, counting back from your arrival date. Payment gateway fees on the refund are borne by the traveller.
04Safari cancellations
Jungle safaris run on forest department permits, so this schedule works a little differently from the rest of your trip — and changes with the season.
Monsoon season · July–September
If a park closes for the season due to heavy rainfall, or you cancel before your permit is confirmed:
Once a permit is issued, the booking is final — no refund applies from that point, regardless of the reason.
Rest of the year · October–June
For cancellations made before your permit — advance, current, tatkal, or premium tatkal — is confirmed:
Once a permit is issued, the booking is final — no refund applies from that point, regardless of the reason.
05Good to know
- All refund percentages are calculated on the total booking value, not the deposit paid.
- The clock for trip cancellations runs back from your date of arrival; for safaris, the relevant moment is permit issuance, not the safari date itself.
- Payment gateway fees incurred while processing a refund are for the traveller's account.
- Forest closures, weather, and permit availability sit with the forest department, not with us — we'll always keep you posted the moment we know.
